You’ve probably heard of Black Friday and Cyber Monday but have you ever heard of #GivingTuesday?

#GivingTuesday is a global movement—in its third year—to kick off the season of giving by encouraging people to give back to community organizations on the first Tuesday in December.

“We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. Now, we have #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 2, 2014, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.”

Girl Scouts Heart of Central California is proud to be a #GivingTuesday partner and to kick off the season of giving on this special day. As you think about your charitable giving throughout this holiday season, please join us in giving girls and young women the Girl Scout advantage. This year, all online donations to Girl Scouts Heart of Central California on December 2 will benefit our GSHCC Outreach Program, which provides staff-led troops to girls in underserved neighborhoods in Northern and Central California.
