From its earliest beginnings in 1917 to its current popularity, selling Girl Scout Cookies has helped girls have fun, develop valuable life skills, and make their communities a better place.
Today (February 27) through March 1, 2015, Girl Scouts Heart of Central California along with its sister councils across the country, will participate in National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend: a celebration of the fun and excitement girls have participating in the Girl Scout Cookie Program, and the positive impact Girl Scouts make in our communities—it’s also a kick off to our booth sales!
Through the cookie program’s 5 Skills, each amazing young #cookieboss develops creative and resourceful ways to sell cookies. And the more cookies girls sell, the more money they have to invest in community service projects, learning experiences, and travel opportunities.
Help us spread the word on social media about Girl Scout Cookies and what girls learn by participating in the cookie program. Plus, we want to hear what your troop plans to do with your earned cookie money–share your stories and National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend photos with us:
