Tucked in the woods near Somerset is a beautiful and tranquil new Girl Scout Camp.
Welcome to Camp Fleming!
Surrounded by blue and black oaks, manzanita and ponderosa pines, Camp Fleming features an expansive meadow, inspiring nature trails, a campground, open lodging that sleeps nearly 100 and a permanent campfire setting with ‘stage’ seating. Butte Creek runs between the Lodge and Campground, and it’s an outstanding site for birding. Visitors have spotted a variety of native birds, as well as squirrels, mule deer, grey fox and jackrabbits. To add to the fun, GSHCC just installed a fun “low challenge course” where groups can test their agility and teamwork. In addition to hosting three new camp sessions this summer, Camp Fleming is open for camping and event rentals.
Come learn about Camp Fleming on Sunday, April 17, from 1:30-5:30 p.m. Tours, refreshments and a fun activity for kids of all ages will be on the agenda at this drop-in event. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 916-453-5276. We’d love to have you check it out!
